The International Journal of Justice and Police Sciences (IJJPS) is a Gold Open Access journal dedicated to making research freely accessible to all readers worldwide. To support the operational costs of the journal, including peer review, editing, hosting, and long-term archiving, Article Processing Charges (APCs) are applied as follows:

1. APC Structure

  • Low-Income Countries: $75

    • Authors from low-income countries as listed here are eligible for this rate.

  • South Asian Countries (India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives): $200

    • This region-specific rate supports affordability while ensuring inclusivity.

  • Middle-Income Countries: $300

    • Authors from middle-income countries as listed here are eligible for this rate.

  • High-Income Countries: $450

    • Authors from high-income countries as listed here fall under this category.

2. Waivers and Discounts

  • Authors from low-income countries facing financial constraints are encouraged to contact the editorial office to request waivers or additional discounts.

  • Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, ensuring no deserving research is excluded due to financial limitations.

3. Payment Details

  • APCs are payable only upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication.

  • Authors will receive an invoice with payment instructions after the acceptance decision is communicated.

4. What APCs Cover

      APCs contribute to:

  • Editorial processes, including peer review and quality checks.

  • Professional copyediting, formatting, and typesetting.

  • Hosting and maintaining the journal’s website for global accessibility.

  • Long-term digital archiving and preservation of published articles.

5. Open Access Commitment

All articles published in IJJPS are immediately available for free online under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License (CC BY-NC), ensuring maximum dissemination and impact of research.

6. Transparency and Fairness

IJJPS is committed to maintaining transparent APC policies. Authors are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria for their country category using the provided country ranking links and to reach out with any questions or concerns.

By implementing this APC policy, IJJPS ensures the sustainability of its open access model while striving to keep publication costs reasonable and equitable for researchers worldwide.

7. Adjustments to Article Processing Charges (APCs)

The publisher of the International Journal of Justice and Police Sciences (IJJPS) reserves the right to revise the Article Processing Charges (APCs) periodically to reflect changes in operational costs, inflation, and market conditions. Any adjustments to APCs will be:

  1. Announced in Advance:

    • Changes in APC rates will be communicated on the journal’s official website at least 30 days prior to implementation, ensuring transparency.

  2. Applicable to New Submissions Only:

    • Revised APC rates will apply only to manuscripts submitted after the effective date of the change. Manuscripts submitted before this date will be charged at the rates in effect at the time of submission.
